The project began as an idea in computer-vision coursework: could a welcome-center display recognize a returning visitor, retrieve that person’s schedule, and provide directions through conversation? As a research assistant, I helped turn the concept into a functional on-campus prototype.
- Developed an AI-powered visual interface integrating real-time facial recognition and speech interaction to identify returning visitors, retrieve their daily schedules, and guide them to rooms and events.
- Designed a path for first-time visitors to create a profile for future personalized interactions.
- Collaborated with faculty and student teams to design, test, and deploy a functional prototype for on-campus use.
